A week after law enforcement found a body in a Yuma citrus grove along 32nd Street and Avenue 3 ½ E, few details have come out of the investigation.
The Yuma community was surprised by the discovery, but one of the property owners said, every once in a while, he finds things that do not belong in the grove.
"We’ve had all sorts of people dumping trash, carcasses, they'll burry their pets out here,” explained one of the owners of the property who asked to remain anonymous. “We even have had in the past other recovered bodies."
Monday, officials from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the body they found was that of a man. They haven't been able to positively identify him.
The investigation has been ongoing since deputies were on scene all afternoon Aug. 4th to recover the body.
Officials say at this point there is no evidence that would indicate any foul play in this incident.
