After leading local police on a chase across Yuma that involved several shooting incidents earlier this week, Jesse Vasquez was formally charged in Yuma County Justice Court Friday with 10 felony counts.
Two of those counts are for attempted first degree murder.
The 33-year-olds other eight counts are five for disorderly conduct, two counts of performing a drive-by shooting, and one count of misconduct involving weapons.
State prosecutors decided to combine the multiple cases pending against Vasquez into one formal complaint.
According to prosecutors, Vasquez was involved in a series of shootings spanning from Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning.
It all ended when Vasquez was arrested just north of the Circle K on Araby Road and 32nd Street.
The vehicle the 33-year-old was arrested in matches the description given by witnesses in a neighborhood near Ninth street and 20th Avenue, where Vasquez allegedly fired his handgun multiple times, including an incident where he attempted to shoot a man before he was able to escape to safety inside his home.
The investigation is ongoing, as police are still piecing together evidence.
