After releasing surveillance video footage showing the two men who stole a room card reader from the Oak Tree Inn Wednesday, Yuma police were able to identify and arrest Hector Jesus Rodriguez.
The 29-year-old made his initial appearance in Yuma County Justice Court Friday afternoon.
He is being accused of aggravated robbery and theft, both felonies.
Rodriguez is being held on $150,000 bond, which could be considered high, but prosecutors felt a high bond was appropriate considering the suspect's extensive past criminal history.
"The suspect has already been convicted of failure to appear, he's been convicted of weapons misconduct by a prohibited possessor, both class four felonies," said a state prosecutor. He has also been convicted of having dangerous drugs and aggravated assault."
During the robbery, one of the men was carrying a knife, but employees told police it was not used to threaten anyone.
Police are still searching for the second suspect tied to this case.
