Marines from across the country will descend upon the City of Yuma Friday for WTI, or the Weapons and Tactics Instructor training course.
Wednesday morning members of the media were invited to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, where Marines gave a detailed look at just exactly what will go on during the operations.
WTI training is meant to simulate a disaster relief situation, where Marines overseas would be assisting a host country evacuating wounded civilians or military personnel.
Training is expected to begin at four in the afternoon on Friday and will end sometime around 10:30.
The four landing sites that the Marine Corps will use during the exercises are Kiwanis Park, Trinity Christian Park, Crane Middle School, and Yuma Regional Medical Center.
