The trial for the man accused of being with a convicted murderer the night of the crime continued Thursday.
Jonathan Ochoa is accused of being with Manuel Bustamante the night Kendall Smith, 34, was killed with a baseball bat.
Bustamante was convicted of Smith's murder.
Ochoa is charged with premeditated murder in the 1st degree among other charges.
Thursday morning in Yuma Superior Court, state prosecutors brought several witnesses to the stand including Regina Garcia.
Garcia was recently convicted of hindering prosecution.
Police say she helped Ochoa during his run from law enforcement.
The jury watched as state prosecutors also revealed text messages between Garcia and Ochoa around the time Ochoa was arrested.
The trial will continue next week.
