Four of the five suspects that officers arrested in the apartment complex shooting from three weeks ago faced a judge Wednesday afternoon.
Two of the defendants are free—at least for now. Persecutors did not file formal complaints for Jose Manuel Guzman or Emiliano Salvador Solis, but they requested a follow up, meaning they may file charges at a later date.
No such luck for Anthony Solis and Raven Dawn Myers; each have serious charges.
Just before 2 a.m. Aug. 10, officers found a man with serious gunshot wounds at the El Encanto apartments in Yuma.
They identified some of the suspects thanks to surveillance footage from the Mineshaft where they say a verbal argument started between two groups of men hours earlier.
Prosecutors charged Anthony Solis with one count of conspiracy to commit first degree murder, four our counts of attempted first degree murder and one count of misconduct involving a weapon—all for the attempted murder of a U.S. Marine who suffered critical and permanent injuries in the apartment complex parking lot from the bullet wounds.
On Raven Dawn Myers' plate are one count of hindering prosecution and one count of tampering with physical evidence after investigators say she lied and sold the get-away car after the shooting.
