Two people are in the hospital following a two-vehicle accident in the Yuma foothills this evening.
Rural Metro tells News 11 that around 5:15 p.m., a Ford Falcon traveling west on 48th street ran a stop sign and struck a Cadillac Escalade that was traveling south on the driver’s side.
The driver of the Ford had to be extricated from his vehicle, and he was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
A female passenger of the Escalade was also taken to YRMC, but with moderate injuries.
Yuma County Sheriffs were also on scene.
