Martin Saucedo Ramirez appeared back in front of a Yuma County judge and was handed seven felony charges.

The charges stem from an incident Monday morning when law enforcement attempted to pull Ramirez over in a stolen pickup truck.

After first trying to escape to Mexico, he drove towards California before turning back into Yuma.

The chase ended when the suspect slammed the stolen truck into a telephone pole at the corner of First Street and Avenue B.

Ramirez faces three counts of theft, two counts of trafficking stolen property, and one count each of unlawful flight from a law enforcement vehicle and possession of burglary tools.

While he was originally scheduled to appear back in court on Friday, that date was dismissed as his charges have been combined into one formal complaint.

Given his extensive criminal history, the judge increased his bond from $100,000 to $125,000 dollars.
