Two Yuma area teams going in two different directions took the field at Veteran's Memorial Stadium, where the outcome served as a reminder where the teams each stood.

The Yuma Catholic Lady Shamrocks are a team with 11 season wins, including a strong finish before the holiday break. Meanwhile, the Gila Ridge Lady Hawks are still looking for their first season win.

The Lady Hawks got off to an early lead, scoring a goal in the first five minutes of the contest. But, in the 33rd minute, Lady Shamrock Morgan Frank scored the tying goal. Yuma Catholic's Carla Navarro also scored in the 75 minute during the second half. Y.C. held on to their one goal lead through the end of the match.
