HAMPTON, Va. — The Swish City Magic, a North-Carolina based squad, dashed Team Heat Yuma's bid to win an AAU Division III national championship in basketball Sunday morning. The Heat had made it to the Elite Eight and came close to advancing, but lost 45-40 and were eliminated following a five-game winning streak.

The experience wasn't a total loss for the local athletes in the 13 and under age group, however, as they managed a fifth place finish out of a field of 75 teams. The tournament was located in Hampton, Virginia this year and Team Heat was the only squad to represent Arizona in the competition.
