Shooting and stabbing near Bucklin Park

EL CENTRO, Calif. – The El Centro Police Department received a call around 7:45 p.m of two men stabbed on Saturday.

Upon arrival officers located two victims in Bucklin Park, near the play ground and another in an unspecified area. There were a total of four victims in the incident, all subjects suffered stab wounds and three of them had gunshot wounds.

The victims are three adult males and one male teen. The third victim was self admitted to El Centro Regional Medical Center and the fourth victim was taking to the hospital by family members. All victims are expected to survive.

Police say this appears to be gang related, and possibly ten to fifteen subjects were involved but fled before police arrived. The location of this incident is not considered to be part of any known gang territory.
