SURPRISE, Ariz.-Police say one of two men injured in a plane crash in a Surprise neighborhood has died.

Sgt. Norm Owens says 31-year-old Joshua Merrill, of Peoria, died Saturday night while undergoing surgery.

The other occupant of the plane, 32-year-old Michael Fox, of Glendale, remained in intensive care Sunday.

Both men were on board a single-engine 1956 Beech G35 aircraft that crash-landed in a greenbelt area near a gated community Saturday.
