One person dead following Foothills crash

YUMA, Ariz. – One person is dead following a three-vehicle crash in the Foothills.

Feb. 8, 2016 3:57 p.m.

Donald Walker, 60, was pronounced dead at Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) according to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office.

Walker, who was from British Columbia, was driving a van with his wife, Vickie Walker, 63.

Vickie Walker was taken to  YRMC and was eventually flown to a Phoenix area hospital along with Brian Dale, 33, both with non-life threatening injuries.

Dale was in separate car during the accident.

Feb. 5, 2016 5:53 p.m.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened Friday afternoon on 34th Place and Fortuna Road.

Three people were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center. One person was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other two people suffered non-life threatening injuries.

YCSO said to expect major delays on Fortuna Road for a few more hours Friday night, while the Critical Accident Reconstruction Team investigates the collision. The incident is under investigation.
