Local golf tournament raises $44K for two organizations

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A golf tournament was held and raised $44,000 for both a Pediatric Oncology Support Fund and Hunter's Army, which support families facing childhood cancer.

The #bhuntstrong golf tournament gathered sponsored, golfers and a group of volunteers in support Braden Hunt, who was diagnosed in May 2020 with lymphona.

Hunt's cancer scans have been clean for a while and he was able to play in a tournament.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our community and honored to support these two organizations who are serving as the boots on the ground to put the donations to work, making sure the funds get into the hands of local families in their greatest time of need,” expressed Hughes. “We are thankful for all they are doing for Yuma.”
