UPDATE: Bishoff is due back in court for a case management conference on March 8, 2016.
YUMA, Ariz. – Joseph Aaron Bishoff stood before a judge where he’s facing armed robbery, robbery, drug paraphernalia and burglary to the third degree charges Thursday afternoon.
In the courtroom the defense attorney tried to get Bishoff a lower bond saying $380,000 bond was outrageous. However, the judge decided to stick with the prosecutor’s request and left the bond as is.
Earlier this week the Yuma Police Department arrested Bishoff who they say is a homeless man. He was arrested in a nearby shed where neighbors in the area spotted him.
Bishoff is also linked to a robbery at a Chevron located on South Fourth Avenue and 20th Street. Authorities say Bishoff also has an outstanding felony warrant in Yuma County for probation violation.
Surveillance video shows a man who police believe is Bishoff entering the gas stations and taking an unknown amount of money then running away. Police say thankfully no one was injured during the time of the robberies.
In court Thursday afternoon the judge requested that Bishoff does not make any contact with the two gas stations whatsoever.
