YUMA, Ariz. – The trial for Andres Flores Galindo has been vacated for the second time. He is charged with the premeditated murder of a Wellton woman. Christal Figuero was found dead in a citrus grove in 2014.
A trial was supposed to begin in November 2014 but was also vacated. This comes after an initial trial for Galindo was dismissed in 2015. The state is now working to re-file the case.
Along with first degree premeditated murder, Galindo is facing five other felony charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence, and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
The trial is set to begin on March 15th at the Yuma County Superior Court house.
